External assessment and exams now count directly toward the ATAR. Exam technique built early has more time to actually settle in before it's actually marked.
Teachers2You sessions combine close text work, timed writing practice, and direct feedback from a qualified teacher who knows exactly what senior markers reward.
Our sessions help students:
How We Develop These Skills:
Early weeks aren't about results yet. You'll notice your child engaging with texts differently and building habits the ATAR year rewards.
Our Qualified teachers are located in all states in Australia and are experts
in the following
subjects at all year levels
Every Teachers2You tutor is a currently practising, qualified Australian teacher matched to your child's exact texts, assessment type, and syllabus.
|
QualifAWied Teachers Only: Every tutor is a registered, practising Australian teacher, not a university student or unqualified coach. |
Personalised 1-on-1 Support: Sessions matched to your child's specific text list, assessment type, and current mark. |
Flexible Online Sessions: Sessions fit around exam blocks, school commitments, and the final-year workload. |
|
Aligned to State Senior Curriculum: Tutoring reflects the syllabus set by your state's senior secondary authority for Year 12 English. |
Engaging Learning Approach: Sessions build genuine understanding of texts and ideas, not memorised responses recited back on exam day. |
Consistent Tutor Every Session: The same tutor works with your child right through the ATAR year, building real familiarity with their writing. |
Timed essays, multiple texts, and exam pressure test even confident writers. Extension students face denser texts and heavier analytical demands again.
Strong performance in senior English opens doors well beyond the ATAR alone. Strong results in Advanced English and Extension support pathways into law, journalism, communications, teaching, humanities, politics, and media, where analytical writing and critical thinking are core skills.
Australia's senior secondary systems (HSC, VCE, QCE, and others) each set their own Year 12 English syllabus and assessment structure, run by a state authority rather than a single national curriculum.
Most combine school-based assessment with external exams, and Extension study is offered differently by state. Specific structures for your state are covered in the FAQs below.

What Our Students Say
Real stories from Teachers2You students, showing the confidence and progress that come from consistent, one-on-one support with a qualified teacher.
“Chemistry used to be my hardest subject, and no matter how much I studied, I couldn’t grasp the concepts. My grades were slipping, and I felt stuck. Then my parents signed me up with Teachers 2You, where I started working with Mr. Ahmed. He explained everything clearly and made it interesting with real-life examples. My grades improved, and now I feel confident and actually enjoy Chemistry!”
“Math used to intimidate me, and I always felt behind in class. My parents noticed I was struggling but didn’t know how to help. Then we discovered Teachers 2You, and I started working with Ms. Jones. She explained things at my pace, and soon I began to understand and even enjoy math. Now, I’m confident in class, and my parents are thrilled with my progress!”
“I’ve always loved reading, but writing essays was a struggle for me. Teachers 2You connected me with Mrs. Brown, who helped me organize my thoughts and structure my essays. After a few months, my writing improved, and I started getting top marks. Now, I enjoy writing as much as reading!”
“Physics used to feel impossible, and my grades were slipping. Then I started working with Mr. Carter from Teachers 2You, who explained everything in simple steps and patiently answered all my questions. After a few lessons, I felt more confident, and my marks started improving. By the time exams came around, I felt prepared and even started to enjoy Physics. ”
“Reading used to be tough for me, and I felt bad because my mates were better at it. My mum signed me up for Teachers 2You, and I started working with Miss Taylor. She was really kind and helped me with sounding out words and gave me fun stories to read. Now I can read without getting stuck, and last week I even got a gold star from my teacher!”
“I never liked History—it felt like just memorising boring facts and dates. My grades were bad, so my parents signed me up for Teachers 2You, and I started working with Mr. Wilson. He made History interesting by connecting it to real stories, not just dates. My grades improved, and now I’m even thinking of taking it for my HSC!”
